Merry Christmas everyone!!!

I wanted to make Christmas (or whatever holidays you celebrate) even better by telling you guys what my favorite books of 2012 were. I’ve read SO many good books this year, both published before and during 2012! Take a look below.

Obsidian by Jennifer L. Armentrout

I LOVE this series! I just started it (I”m currently on Onyx), and I absolutely adore the series. It has hunky aliens, a strong, independent female…and all the romance I could ask for. Love love love.

Onyx by Jennifer L. Armentrout

I’m currently reading this one, and I can’t say enough good things about it. I absolutely adore this series!

Opal by Jennifer L. Armentrout

Ok….so I haven’t actually started this book, yet, but I’m going to finish it before 2012 is over. I love the series so much, and I know that I am going to adore this book, although I already know I’m going to be upset until I have the fourth book in my hands. Seriously, guys, this is one of the best series I have ever read!

Dark Star by Bethany Frenette

I cannot believe I forgot to add this book on here! Oh, well, I’m adding it now. I LOVED Dark Star by Bethany Frenette. However, I will say that it’s either a book you flat out love or a book you really can’t get into. I loved how the book focused on superheroes. I felt that that added a fresh quality that we don’t really get to see much. I also ADORED Leon. I could seriously read a book only about him. I cannot wait to have the second one in my hands!

Thirteen by Kelley Armstrong

The Women of the Otherworld series is seriously my favorite series in the world. Nothing will ever beat this for me. I am SO sad that the series is over. Maybe Kelley Armstrong will decide to continue it? Love it!

Biting Cold by Chloe Neill

I cannot continue this list without mentioning Biting Cold by Chloe Neill. Haven’t read the Chicagoland Vampires series? Then you’re seriously missing out! Yes, yes, this IS a vampire series, but it’s really not about that. It’s about the characters and the storylines. Neill has one of the best writing styles I have ever run across. Love her!

Such a Rush by Jennifer Echols

If you know me, then you know that I’m not the biggest fan of contemporary books. Realistic stuff isn’t really my thing. I love reading about vampires, aliens, werewolves, shadowhunters….really anything paranormal. Such a Rush was the first contemporary novels that I fell head over heels in love with. It was real..but it was amazing.

Rift by Andrea Cremer

Ok…so I loved Andrea Cremer’s Nightshade series, and I was not disappointed with the prequel to that series, Rift. It did start off a little slow, but once it picked up it reallllllllllllly picked up. LOVED the main characters, and I can’t wait to read more about them in Rise!

The Glimpse by Claire Merle

A great first in a series by Claire Merle! Loved it! I’m going to be really sad once it’s over ]=

Immortal City by Scott Speer

I’m honestly a little disappointed that this book hasn’t got the hype that it deserves. This was SUCH a good book! It sounded really corny when I first read the synopsis, but I was soo wrong. Amazing!

Pandemonium by Lauren Oliver

Oh my God, guys, if you haven’t read the Delirium series by Lauren Oliver, then you NEED to get on that! I wasn’t a huge fan of the first book, but Pandemonium blew me away! I am so impressed with the world that Oliver created, and I can’t wait to read the conclusion in Requiem!

Insurgent by Veronica Roth

I love Veronica Roth. Enough said.

Storm by Brigid Kemmerer

Storm is one of my favorite books of 2012! I’ve fallen in love with plenty of fictional boys, but no one is quite like the Merrick brothers. Talk about yum!!!

Spark by Brigid Kemmerer

I have to finish this up with Spark by Brigid Kemmerer. Very few books reallllly touched me this year, and Kemmerer’s elemental series really hit home. The topics in this series, the hot boys, the heartbreaking scenes….all of it just tugged at my heart. I can’t wait to read more of this series!
