Introducing Adult Books (3)
Welcome back!
It’s been awhile since my last Introducing Adult Books post. Since then, I’ve read a few really incredible adult books that I want to share with all of you. Hopefully you enjoy it. Let me know what you think in the comments section below!
I am beyond devastated that The Women of the Otherworld series is over. If I had to pick my all time favorite series, I think that this series would win. I have read almost all of Armstrong’s books, and I devoured every single book in this particular series.
I have to say that the Savannah books (the last three in this series) are my favorite out of all of the books in the series. It’s funny, because I didn’t originally want to read from Savannah’s perspective. I had series issues about bringing in the girl who we watched grow up since she was thirteen-years-old. I was so wrong. While I love all of the books in this series, the last three were by far the best.
What I LOVED about Thirteen was that Armstrong incorporated chapters for all of the women of the Otherworld. So it wasn’t all about Savannah. This was great because the series has now ended. I have followed each of these women for a couple of years now, and I would have been really disappointed if they didn’t each get some show time in the last book.
Go. Buy. This. Book. NOW! (note: PLEASE read this series from the beginning!)

I first started to read the Chicagoland Vampires series after I joined the forum here at yareads back in like….2009? 2010? Everyone was going on and on an on about this series, so I checked the first two (the only two that were published at that time) out from the library. I pretty much devoured them. Ever since then, I have been an extremely loyal fan to Chloe Neill. She also has a young adult series called The Dark Elite.
I recently took part in the Biting Cold blog tour. You can find my review for that here. It was amazing. I pretty much finished the book in a day.
A lot of people don’t want to pick this series up, because they tend to think that it’s just going to be another typical vampire book. I understand that thought process. Vampires are getting a little old. Trust me, though, when I say that The Chicagoland Vampires series is nothing like your average vampire book. Yes, the main characters are vampires but there is so much more to the series. There is fae, witches, warlocks, shapeshifters, an amazing romance, and extremely brilliant storylines all tied into this series. So, while there are vampires, I tend to often look past that

Rachel Caine is known for her popular young adult series, The Morganville Vampires. She has a few different adult series published, but I have never really had the time to read any of them. When I seen the cover for Caine’s newest adult cover, Working Stiff, I knew that I had to find the time to read it. What can I say? I’m a cover addict.
When Working Stiff first started out, I was a little…skeptical. There’s this twist that happens within the first few chapters of the book ( Don’t worry, I’m not giving anything away!), and it really separated me from the story line. It took me quite awhile to get over that twist and to throw myself into the book. Once I did, though, I was HOOKED! I cannot wait until the next book Two Weeks’ Notice.
