Top-10-of-2013-Banner

Hi everyone!

The Top Ten of 2013 is hosted by Rachel over at Fiktshun. From December 23rd to December 27th we will be hosting Top Ten Choices from 2013. You can find the schedule below. Feel free to join in on this event at any time! And make sure to link me to your own posts so I can stop by and leave a comment!

The Schedule:

Monday, December 23rd – Best Books I’ve Read in 2013 (Doesn’t have to be released in 2013, just a book you’ve read in 2013)

Tuesday, December 24th – Best Book Covers of 2013 (MUST be a book released in 2013. Would be best if it’s a book you’ve READ in 2013, but it’s not required)

Wednesday, December 25th – Best ________ of 2013 (Reader’s/Blogger’s choice. Please fill in the blank with ONE of these topics – Villains, Contemporaries, Dual POVs, Novellas, Adult titles, New Adult titles, Love Triangles, Couples, Bad Boys or Debuts. REMEMBER: this list MUST be from books you’ve READ in 2013)

Thursday, December 26th – Best Book Boyfriends of 2013 (MUST be from a book released in 2013 and from a book you’ve READ in 2013)

Friday, December 27th – Top 10 Books I’m Looking Forward to in 2014 (This list should be comprised ONLY of books released in 2014)

Now to start on todays topic!

Best Book Covers of 2013

12558285Splintered by A.G. Howard

A.G. Howard has some of the best book covers ever. And looking at it online is nothing like actually holding the book in your hands and looking at the hardcover. It is amazing. It totally relates to the story. But most of all…it’s just gorgeous.

17167166Crown of Midnight by Sarah J Maas

I couldn’t NOT include COM by Sarah J. Maas. I think that these are some of the most beautiful covers ever. I actually prefer the redone covers compared to the original cover of the first book. I just love them.

13721337Chantress by Amy Butler Greenfield

I’m not the biggest fan of pink, so it’s amazing that I love the cover of Chantress. I actually bought this book for my birthday, and the cover is even better in person. It’s so pretty!

13112869Not a Drop to Drink by Mindy McGinnis

Oh, man. Not a Drop to Drink……Not ONLY is it an amazing book, but the cover is beautiful. I’ve never ran across a book whose cover describes the entire book. I look at this cover, and I think of the story. It makes all of the scenes pop right back into my head. Beautiful!

12368123Ashes on the Waves by Mary Lindsey

I actually haven’t read this book. I’ve been eye caressing it for like the past year now. I believe that it released this year! I don’t know why I haven’t read it, yet, because I’ve gazed at it so many times.

12930909Between the Devil and the Deep Blue Sea by April Genevieve Tucholke

The only reason I wanted to read this book was because of the cover. I actually didn’t even read the synopsis until I received it in the mail. I just wanted it. That cover? Brilliant!

17233800 Crash Into You by Katie McGarry

Don’t yell at me, but I have never read anything by Katie McGarry, I KNOW! I know. Seriously, I do. I keep hearing how great she is. She’s been reviewed and interviewed on YaReads by both Nikki and Kiona, but I personally have never read anything by her. One thing I will give her, though, is that she has some of the most beautiful covers ever. That red has hooked me in ever since I first saw it. GORGEOUS!

15805597The Book of Broken Hearts by Sarah Ockler

I haven’t had this one either! I do own it, though! I wanted to add in a contemporary to this mix…and this one really stood out to me!

16142091Chasing Shadows by Swati Avasthi and Craig Phillips

Gahhh. I love this. I hadn’t heard of it until it came in the mail one day. Once I held it in my hands I was hooked. And the graphic images inside of the book are just as brilliant. So pretty! I love how the hair is in her eye and brushing her lips. And the girl jumping off the building makes sense after you read the story. So pretty!

12958037Biting Bad by Chloe Neill

Look at that purple! I had to include a Chloe Neill book, because I think that the covers are just TOO gorgeous. And purple?! My favorite color!

This was REALLY hard! I’m not even sure if it’s 100% positive. I’m sure later on I’m going to see another 2013 cover and be like OMG why didn’t I include that?!?! But these are all 2013 covers that I love. I haven’t read all of them, and I definitely didn’t LIKE all of them, but the covers? Yeah, the covers are gorgeous.

  • I love love love the cover of Chantress! And the book was awesome. Between the Devil and the Deep Blue Sea has my all-around favorite cover of 2013! The typography is gorgeous, and the tone of the cover is creepy and Gothic and PERFECT. LOVE! I’m glad Penguin didn’t spontaneously change that cover, as they do so often. It’s an amazing cover!
