Top Ten All Time Favorite Books in the Paranormal/High Fantasy Genre

Hi, everyone! Welcome back to Top Ten Tuesday! This meme is hosted by The Broke and the Bookish. Today I get to pick from previous topics that I want to do again or may have missed. That’s perfect since I’ve missed almost all of them! So today, I am going to do the Top Ten All Time Favorite Books in the Paranormal/High Fantasy Genre. I chose to combine paranormal and high fantasy, because I have a few books in the HF genre that I just HAVE to mention!

31. Harry Potter.

Obviously. This is probably the best series that I have read in my entire life. I grew up on Harry Potter. I still love it to this day. If you haven’t read HP, you’re missing out. For the select few that I’ve talked to in my life that do not like this series…uhm…I don’t understand. I don’t get it. I don’t accept it. lol.

63424912. The Seven Realms series by Cinda Williams Chima.

Probably the best YA high fantasy there is. I love this series. It’s a little slow to get into, but just plow through the first 100 pages of the first book. After that, you’ll be hooked.

2136473. The Enchanter series by Cinda Williams Chima.

I love everything that this lady writes. This series is amazing.

119184. The Women of the Otherworld series by Kelley Armstrong.

This series is in a whole different league than all of the other books listed. Kelley Armstrong IS my favorite author of all time. This IS my favorite series. It’s difficult to compare it with other books and series that I’ve read. It’s just not the same at all. Everyone needs to read this series.

125780775. The Lux series by Jennifer L Armentrout

I’m writing this list and this series keeps popping in my head. The last book was pretty mediocre, but I devoured the first three books last year or the year before. Daemon is seriously amazing.

SA_REVISED.indd6. The Strange Angels series by Lili St. Crow

This is one of the BEST series out there. I didn’t like the way that it ended…but that doesn’t even matter. I went into a reading coma until I finished this series.

74023937. The Nightshade series by Andrea Cremer

This is another series with a shitty ending….but awesome writing! You can’t miss this series!

418658. Twilight by Stephanie Meyer

You know….Twilight was the series that got me interested in reading and YA. I probably wouldn’t be a blogger or even read very much if it hadn’t been for Twilight. So, yes, that has to make the list.

272669.  The Morganville Vampires series by Rachel Caine

When I first started reading, I was HOOKED on this series. I still haven’t finished it,  but I remember how much I depended on this series when I first started out. I love the characters, the world, the concept…it’s all just so amazing.

34562710. Vampire Academy by Richelle Mead

This list cannot be complete without VA by Richelle Mead. This is also another series that I first started out with. I love it. I love Richelle. She’s actually one of the only two authors that I’ve went to see their signing. I’ve actually been to two of Richelle’s signings, and I think that all of my books are signed by her. I’ll read anything that this lady writes.

Man…I have great tastes in books. Did any of these books make your list? Let me know in the comments section!
