Ten Books I Almost Put Down But Didn’t

Hi, everyone! Welcome back to Top Ten Tuesday! This meme is hosted by The Broke and the Bookish. Todays topic is Ten Books I Almost Put Down But Didn’t.

1 The Demon King by Cinda Williams Chima

The first 100 pages of this book were beyond painful. I have my 100 pages rule for high fantasy, though, and thank God for that! This is one of my all time favorite series.

2 Between the Lines by Jodi Picoult

I honestly have no idea why I finished this book. I hated it. It was awful!

3 Never too Far by Abbi Glines

Don’t even get me started on this series. I don’t know how she created such an amazing first book and turned the last two books into utter crap.

4 The Unbecoming of Mara Dyer by Michelle Hodkin

I know this is a popular series, but I can’t stand it. I finished the first book, but I didn’t finish the second book.

5 Tilt by Ellen Hopkins

I finished it and I liked it, but I also haven’t read anything else by Ellen Hopkins. Poetry isn’t really my thing.

6 The Iron King by Julie Kagawa

This book started out really strong, but it soon turned more middle grade-ish and I couldn’t stand the main character.

7 Vanish by Sophie Jordan

It’s been a long time since I’ve read this series, but I remember that I had a lot of issues with the main male character. I can’t remember my whole complaint, but I do know that I finished the whole series.

8 Hereafter by Tara Hudson

I honestly don’t know how or why I finished this book. It was awful.

9 Two Weeks’ Notice by Rachel Caine

Ok….the ending of this book goes a little too far. I got really grossed out.

10 Played by Liz Fichera

I hated Riley. I’m sorry. I did. I liked the book, but she made it really difficult.
