one of my freakin' favorite series!!!! was laughing my head off at times (which was pretty embarrassing seeing as how i started reading this while alone in a restaurant). picked up book one on a whim, went back the next day and picked 2-5 (though 3-5 are not ya). love jessica's voice, love marcus. though 1-4 are all written in a journal format, the dialogue wasn't lacking and didn't feel forced or awkward. can't wait to see what she comes up with next.

I am so freaking in love with these books. I'm currently up to the fourth one. They get more adult as the series goes along, though, so I'm not sure whether I'll review them for the site. The second one might qualify as YA but by the third the Jess Darling books definitely transition into the adult world of literature.

I recommend everyone read these books. Jess has an insightful way of looking at the world.
