Interview with Jennifer Malone Wright

Chocolate or Vanilla?

I totally love Vanilla because you can do so much with vanilla, like add chocolate or strawberry… mmmmm

Cats or Dogs?

Neither. I’ve had both and don’t really have a huge problem with them, But I’m just not much of an animal person. I guess it’s cause I have so many kids… lol. An animal is just one more to take care of. We have a dog now and he’s pretty good, but he is more my husbands than mine.

Tom Cruise or Tom Felton?

Tom Cruise…I don’t care what anyone says, he is still pretty nice to look at. Better than Tom Felton anyway. Honestly, I didn’t even know who Tom Felton was until this question and I had to google it.

Describe your book in three words. Ready. Set. Go!

Vampire Hunting Awesomeness.

What was the hardest thing about writing The Vampire Hunter’s Daughter?

I think the hardest thing about writing it was finding the time. I have five kids and am a very, very busy lady, so I have to literally make time for my writing. The hardest thing about the actual writing part was writing Trevor, the bad guy. People kept telling me, he is flat and there is nothing to make us care about him. So, I had to rewrite it several times and give that guy some actual character.

Many people have said that they are tired of reading about vampires. What makes The Vampire Hunter’s Daughter different than the average vampire book?

The Vampire Hunter’s Daughter is different because the vampires are not the main characters. This is about Hunter’s. The Hunter’s are a breed, created long ago by the joining of a warrior angel and a warrior demi-goddess. This joining created a new breed of warrior, the vampire hunter. There is a lot of magic, but mostly a lot of fighting and kick ass weapons.

What was your favorite chapter (or part) to write and why?

My favorite part is a toss up between when Sostrate the ancient demi-goddess shows herself to Chloe for the first time and Drew and Chloe’s first kiss. I just can’t decide.

Do you work with an outline, or just write?

I used to just write, but now I have to outline. I am learning to plan far ahead and it helps me write faster. But, sometimes it ends up being totally different from the outline.

Is there anything that you would like to say to your readers and fans?

Thank you, thank you, thank you!! The readers and fans are what keep writers writing books. You keep our books alive and to you we owe so much. Thank you for reading my books.

What is currently in your To-Be-Read pile?

Currently My TBR consists of a massive amount of books that I just keep adding to. But.. in the near future I’m going to be reading Blood Feud, by LA. Freed, it’s the last in her trilogy. Then I’m going to read The Black Dagger Brotherhood books. I have soo many more to read, it’s crazy.
