9967363Casey Keen, author of SAVED BY THE BELL

I was born in Philadelphia, PA and grew up in the suburban outskirts of this amazing city. I love anything paranormal and/or supernatural – seriously I live in Philadelphia! For those of you who don’t know, this city is an awesomely haunted place! This healthy paranormal addiction has provided me the motivation to write my first book, “I’ll Be Damned.” I graduated from Drexel University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology and I’m currently working on the Anna Wolfe Series.

Can you tell us about your book, SAVED BY THE SPELL, in 10 words or less?

A witty, suspenseful and sexy continuation of Anna Wolfe’s journey.

This is the second book that you have published this year. How difficult was it to manage your time and promote two books? Did you ever have a life outside of writing?

It was difficult with regards to promoting, etc., but the writing itself wasn’t! Surprisingly, it was much easier to write/finish book #2 in the series since Anna’s story was already explained and the characters introduced. The ideas for book #2 just poured out of me! With regards to promoting, that has taken up a large chunk of my time.

Do you readers need to read these two books in order?4427347

I would suggest it. In Saved by the Spell, I do recap how and why Anna is in her current predicament, but I do not dive into the details of her Grand Witch status and the events leading to it.

Will there be another book in the series? If so, will you be doing a trilogy or are you planning to take it further?

Yes! I’m planning on seeing how the storyline falls, but a third book is guaranteed.

What was your favorite scene to write?

My favorite scene was where I had Anna and Micah face off—something completely unexpected happens! I love writing suspenseful scenes.

What do you have planned after the Anna Wolfe series?

Not entirely sure yet, but I’m thinking about creating another paranormal romance series.

5755860Carissa Andrews, author of Pendomus

Born and raised in central MN, Carissa Andrews has always loved books. She started her career at 15 in a bookstore, just to be able to afford her book fetish. By 19, she worked for a magazine publisher. At 22, she was working for printers to learn their trade. At 27, she went back to school for graphic design, and became an award winning designer. Little did she know all of her experiences would lead her to becoming a self-publishing power house.

At 31, a magical world on a planet far away, invaded her mind.

At 34, she’s learned what she needs to make her work successful.

Can you tell us about your book, PENDOMUS, in 10 words or less?

Pendomus is a genre-bending sci-fi/fantasy/dystopian novel.

If you were to compare Pendomus to any two books, which ones would you choose?

Oh, that’s hard because I don’t know if there really are any books out there I could compare Pendomus to. Looking back, I see a lot of inspirations from Stephenie Meyer’s Host, to television shows like Buffy the Vampire Slayer.

What prompted you to write a dystopia book?13492019

I see the dysfunction inherent in society/humanity today. In Pendomus, I sorta wanted to play it out to the nth degree, just to see what could happen if people don’t pay attention.

What was your favorite scene to write?

That’s easy. It was the kiss between Trae and Runa.

How long did it take you to write Pendomus?

Technically, I wrote the first version of Pendomus in about 3 months. I started it with NaNoWriMo 2010 and finished with over the 50,000 word mark. Then I spent the last three years refining the story until I felt it was ready to be taken in by the rest of the world.

If you could cast anyone to play some of the main characters, who would you choose?

That’s easy! I even have a little montage done up for me by Kriss Morton of Cabin Goddess.

That cover is GORGEOUS! Who designed it?

Heehee… Why, thank you. I’m pretty proud of they way Pendomus’ cover turned out myself. 😀 As a matter of fact… the crazy designer is non other than yours truly! In my “other life”, I’m an award-winning graphic designer!

How many books can we expect in the Pendomus Chronicles?

I’ve always mapped the Pendomus Chronicles to be a trilogy. However, just for the sake of sanity, I kept the option open by saying chronicles. Plus, it sounds more dramatic than trilogy, don’t you think?

What 2014 debut are you most looking forward to?

I’m really looking forward to Unhinged (Splintered #2) written by a good friend of mine, Anita Howard!

7152850T.H. Snyder, author of Touch Me

t. h. snyder is a 33 year old mother of 2. She has been an avid romance and paranormal reader for well over a year and felt it was about time to explore her creative side and write her own book.

Can you tell us about your book, TOUCH ME, in 10 words or less?

A realistic story that will have you falling in love.

What separates Touch Me from adult contemporary and makes it NA?

Riley and Char have both experienced lost love in the past and it’s a struggle to trust again. In their story they both manage to overcome personal obstacles while keeping up with their day to day lives. Their chance meetings are fun, flirtatious and are what draw you to this dynamic duo.

Just recently, NA has started to branch out into other genres than just contemporary. Do you think in the future you might try another NA genre or is contemporary your calling?

For right now contemporary is the genre I’m most interested in pursuing, but who knows what the future holds for me.

What was your favorite scene to write?

Tub time

Being NA, can readers expect some steamy scenes?

Of course, those are my favorite scenes to write.18136883

How many books will be in this series?

3 books and a novella

Will the next book feature the same characters?

Book 2 will focus on Chloe and Derrick’s story

Will it feature supporting characters mentioned in the first book?

Yes, we can’t forget about Char and Riley.

What will you be working on next?

I have a standalone YA coming out in November, Pierced Love. And then back to Book 3 of the Touch Series, Touched By Another.

What 2014 debut are you most looking forward to?

There are so many great books coming next year, it’s hard to pick just one.

S.K. Anthony, author of Kinetic

S. K. Anthony is a writer, a reader and a make-stuff-up-er who lives in New York with her husband and toddler twins. She is a wine connoisseur, which just really means she knows she loves it, and a caffeine addict. When she isn’t busy with her family she finds herself being transported into the world of imagination. Well, either that or running away from spiders…she is convinced they are out to get her! Find out more about her on her website.

1 Can you tell us about your book, KINETIC, in 10 words or less?

Genetically altered Annie must kill ex whom she still loves. (This was hard! lol)

2 What separates Kinetic from adult paranormal and makes it NA?

Kinetic follows Annie Fox, a 23-year-old, who has to learn how to deal with friendships, heartbreak and regaining trust while taking down criminals with her Luminary strength.

3 How much paranormal goodness can readers expect in Kinetic?

-It’s not so much paranormal as it is light sci-fi fantasy, but the whole premise is based on Annie’s ‘special power’ so its definitely action packed. There are several other characters and each of them come with their own ‘gifts.’

4 What was your favorite scene to write?

Hmm… I don’t want to give too much away, but let’s just say it involved an elliptical machine

5 Being NA, can readers expect some steamy scenes? [;18072566

Oh, yesssss…

6 How many books will be in this series?

At least three are planned for now, but they are all standalone, so I can go on for as long as readers might be interested in “the Luminaries” world.

7 What will you be working on next?

I’m currently working on the second book in The Luminaries series and another contemporary NA spy novel.

8 What 2014 debut are you most looking forward to?

ASK AGAIN LATER by Francesca Zappia.
