Today, I am so excited to be hosting Magan Vernon, author of Life, Love, & Lemons. Magan has stopped by to cast some of the characters in her book. Take a look below!
Magan Vernon is a Young Adult and New Adult writer who lives with her family in the insurance capital of the world. She is in a very serious, fake relationship with Adam Lambert and constantly asks her husband to wear guyliner. He still refuses. She also believes her husband is secretly an alien, disguised as a southern gentleman.
Life, Love, & Lemons Casting
Jordan Pruitt as Bentley Evans. Bentley was a tough one to cast and I spent a lot of hours on Pinterest until I found the perfect girl. She has a cute face, the right hair, and looks like a girl that has the right amount of sweetness and sass.
Drake Bell as Kai Stone– Kai was REALLY hard since he’s half-Korean. In the end it seemed most people like my pins of Drake Bell and he had the personality to go along with goofy Kai.
Naya Rivera as Gabby– Naya plays a snarky girl on Glee, but for some reason I always pictured her as the sweet, innocent Gabby with her long eyelashes and always in a pom uniform.
Luke Benward as Jake– He kind of has the cocky smirk going for him. And that blond, spiky hair? Forget about it.
Max Schneider as Brett– He doesn’t have the full on curly hair, but has the body I imagined that Brett would have and the dimpled smile.
Jeanette McCurdy as Taylor– She may be sweet on all her Nickelodeon shows, but I think she has a dark side. The blonde hair, those eyes, yeah she could play a wicked Taylor.
Arianna Grande as Brynne– When I first saw her on Victorious I thought she was the type of girl that seemed like she would cut someone. That’s exactly how Brynne is. Though she’s gotten to a sweeter character on her new shows, I think she still has that fierce look to her.
It’s so SQUEEEE-DORABLE – Ashleyn Poston, author of Radio Hearts
When life hands you lemons, sometimes you have to say screw the lemons and bail.
Seventeen-year-old Bentley Evans had it all. Then her Dad got laid off.
Now she has to move across town to a small apartment and leave her life of luxury for public school and a job at the local burger place. Just when her world seems like it’s crumbling she finds solace in the unlikely punk boy next door, Kai Stone. But as their relationship blossoms, a jealous ex-girlfriend and a secret to tell that threatens to bring disaster back into Bentley’s life.
