Francis Lawrence Offered Directing Job for Catching Fire
After the shocking news that Gary Ross will not be directing Catching Fire, Lionsgate has offered the position to Francis Lawrence. Fans may be familiar with Lawrence’s work from Constantine, I am Legend and Water for Elephants. I have only watched I am Legend, and I hated it with a severe passion. I haven’t watched Constantine (though I’ve heard it’s amazing) or Water for Elephants, so I think I need some feedback here. Is Francis Lawrence a good director? Let me know in the comments below!

I have seen both Constantine and I am Legend. I loved them both. However, I have had MANY repeat viewings of Constantine.
Director changes happened with the Harry Potter movie series and all were quite successful. My guess is Frances Lawrence will do a good job with Catching Fire.
