Sarah Dessen
Everyone seems to have read at least one of her books. And i've never met anyone that has complained so far.... what do we all think?

I LOVE Sarah Dessen's books.
She has a new book coming out this summer, Along for the Ride.
I've read and own all of her book's.
Even seen the movie, How to deal(not too bad)
It's very hard for me to pick a favorite although it might have to be This Lullaby simply because it was the first book i read by her.
The one i learned the most from would be Dreamland. It sent me on a craze of reading more fiction books dealing with abusive teen relationships.
Rogerson interested me even though i didn't like him one bit.
The Truth About Forever was the book that i was the most hesitent reading. I'm not exactly sure right now anymore why i didn't read it at the time but
im am now extremely happy i did. Because if i hadn't i wouldn't have been introduced to just how great the relationships are in that book. Friend.
Romantic. Relative. W/e. I absolutely love this book.
Just Listen took me to a whole new level. I love the words that Owen used from his Anger Management classes.
Lock and Key was decent although it wasn't my favorite. I'm not sure why but i felt like somethin was missing. It was good though.
Keeping the Moon taught me a lot of self-esteem and i find myself walking through the halls at school telling myself to keep my head up when i walk.
My least favorite would have to That Summer. I'm not sure why i just found it slightly boring.
Someone Like You was okay. I got a better appreciation for it after having my best friend get pregnant. (twins! she's due in Feb.) And so im trying to
be there for her like Halley is there for Scarlett. It's not easy though. But im trying my best and really i believe thats the best anyone can do.
There i believe i got them all.

You know, I thought the same think about Lock and Key. It wasnt bad, but it was a little hollow, you know? I got to the end and though "hmmm thats
it?"
I think The Truth About Forever and Just Listen are my two fave's of hers.

Exactly i felt like there was SO much more she could have done with it and that really surprised me because ive never felt that way about any of her
books. Even with That Summer and Someone like You i felt like she filled the potential that those books had i just didn't much care for the story
overall.
Oh well i suppose every author is allowed to have one book that isn't that great.

I love Sarah Dessen's books. My friend (also called Sarah!) got me hooked.
My favourite was Someone Like You, my least favourite That Summer. That Summer felt like it had no substance to it, I guess. For me anyway.
I think Sarah Dessen is a brilliant writer. I love her way of writing, and she's helped to influence me as a YA writer as well.

I guess the only word to use is that i like that the main character was a ***** which i guess is a bad thing to say. I really do love Remy. But she
can be kinda heartless. But it was diff viewpoint. Idk. DOes that make any sense?
I have to say the whole putting parts of her moms story into the book really bored me though...

Remy was absolutely heartless but for some reason it attracted me..it was not the typical main character

I haven't read TL yet, but wasn't Remy and her guy(was it Dexter?) in Just Listen? I love the crossover characters.

Yea they were.
I also love the fact that her characters make cameos in later books.
It makes her world seem so real.
And really that's what she's created a parallel world. It's amazing.

I love Sarah Dessen, she's one of my favourite writers. I've read most of her books, apart from a couple of the older ones. My favourite is 'The Truth
About Forever'.

I love Sarah Dessen, though her books seem all kind of the same, in a way. Like Girl has problem, Girl meets boy, Girl and Boy get together, Girl and
boy have a fight, Girl learns about herself, Girl and Boy make up. Truth about Forever is my favorite too. I just love, love, love Wes. But Just
Listen is a close second. I really like Owen's music obession.
Boys in Books are just...better.

I love that she did that! When I came across the names Remy and Dexter I quickly grabbed TL to see if it were the same characters.

I love it because it makes her book world feel so much more real, and it lets me see my old 'friends' and let's me know how they're doing. I was
excited that Macy and Wes were still together while reading Just Listen.
