Me either. I think we just assumed that because its going back into Shadowhunter history, that he'd be there.
We dont know if any of the current characters will be there.

Well, since its Victorian England, I doubt there will be any original characters. The only one I can think of would be Magnus.

After City of Glass, I'll be writing a new Shadowhunter series called The Infernal Devices. It will feature some characters you know, like
Magnus, and the ancestors of the MI characters. I haven't yet decided if I'll continue the story of the MI characters once The Infernal
Devices is done.

It does sound awesome! I wonder what other characters could be in it? No one is as old as Magnus... right?
I wonder if she will pick up with characters from TMI again after TID...?

I'm stoked, absolutely stoked that Magnus is going to be in TID. Magnus rocks my socks off and man, I hope he's a more central character rather than a
secondary character for this series.
As for whether she'll return to the MI characters after, I'm guessing maybe not. She might - its not totally impossible, but after six novels in the
one world I'm thinking she might want to try something new....

I wasn't originally going to read Infernal Devices - basically because I couldn't imagine a Shadowhunter World without Jace + Clary...but now I'm
actually quite excited about it and can't wait til its out!
It will be so strange Magnus not being with Alec, It is going to take quite a lot of adjusting in my mind for me to realise they wern't together 300
years ago...(how sad)

The first time I read the books, I hated Magnus's character. He just annoyed me SO much!
But, then I read them again, and I love him! Ah

"Clockwork Angel" is the first of the Infernal Devices. "City of Fallen Angels" is just the 4th book of The Mortal Instruments.

Scored an ARC a few months ago. I got lots of ARCs, so I just now got to this one. 2/3 of the way thru... it's so good. If you like the other books by
Cassie, you'll like this one.
