The Calling by Kelley Armstrong
Has anyone had the chance to read this book?
I actually really liked it! I was impressed, especially since I didn't really care for the first book. But I was sorta annoyed that they spent the
entire time in the woods and that the entire book consisted of about 2-3 days.

I liked this book a lot more than The Gathering. I thought we got to see everyones chaacters a lot more and that there was a lot more plot
development. I wish it was a little longer like Nichole said, it was only a few days.
****SPOILER****
I am excited to see what happens with them when they meet Chloe and their gang. At least, I think they will meet Chloe and them. I really don't want
Maya to end up with Rafe. I like Daniel wayyyyyy better. He is my absolute favourite and him and Maya just work together.

^I like Daniel way better than Rafe also! I don't feel that we've seen very much of Rafe,...but he has kind of a girly quality to him.

LOL. That is the best way I have ever heard Rafe described. I do not know about him, it seems to me he doesn`t truly care about Maya and you are right
we didnt see much of him last book which makes me hope she is going in a format similar to the Darkest Powers series in which she focused on Derek in
the second book. I really like Daniel way better. Rafe, as you put it, has a girly quality.

I am STILL waiting to get it from my library
(Not like I don't have enough books to read)
The wait is killing me I almost bought it today. The Library STILL hasn't gotten there copy.
I am glad people like it. I didn't think The Gathering was that bad, All though I am a Huge Kelley Armstrong fan.

I love Kelley Armstrong! I love her adult series the best, but I've really enjoyed everything else she's produced. I do wish this series would have
been as good as The Darkest Powers series, though.

I wholeheartedly agree. I love Elena in her adult series, I cannot believe the series is going to end this summer. I liked Darkest Powers a lot too. I
remember my inital reaction to The Gathering was that I was a bit disapointed, I hope by the last book kind of brings it all together and is a bit
longer.

I'm refusing to accept that the series is over. It's just SO good. How could she possibly end it?! I haven't read any of the books with Savannah yet.
I think I'm just not ready to say goodbye.
I remember that I was pretty upset with The Gathering. I thought that The Calling improved a little bit, but I still think it has a long ways to go.

You haven`t read the Savannah books!!!! I admire your restraint. YOU HAVE TO READ THEM THOUGH! I like Savannah, she is one of my favourite narrators!!
I am not ready to say goodbye either, and I have no idea how she can wrap it all up in one book.
I agree. In my opinion, it isn`t anywhere near as good as the darkest powers series. I felt like I had a better understanding of who Chloe likes, I
knew she liked Derek. Maya though I have no idea who she really likes.

Haha. I guess maybe ill have to get them from the library then if they're that good. I loved savannah so much. The only one I didn't really care for
was paige.
I'm really hoping that chloe and the gang appear in the third book!
