One word of advice about the book -

It's completely different to the movie. They cut lots and lots - including half the good bits - out of the book. There are way more family members, plus family issues that were so beautifully done in the book.

Then there's the holiday...there's a trip to Spain which was HILARIOUS, and they missed that out. Plus the whole work thing as well...

The book is great, the ending lags a little, but all in all it's worth the read. It was the author's first novel too!

I've seen the movie, and I did shed a few tears and perved on Butler once too many, but I didn't really enjoy it all that much, considering I had read the book before hand...
