Percy Jackson and The Olympians

Synopsis:
Percy Jackson is about to be kicked out of Boarding school... again. And that's the least of his troubles. Lately, mythological monsters and the gods of Mount Olympus seem to be walking straight out of the pages of Percy's Greek mythology textbook and into his life. And worse, he's angered a few of them. Zeus's master lightning bolt has been stolen, and Percy is the prime suspect.
Now Percy and his friends have just ten days to find and return Zeus's stolen property and bring peace to a warring Mount Olympus. But to succeed on his quest, Percy will have to do more than catch the true thief: he must come to terms with the father who abandoned him;solve the riddle of the oracle which warns him of betrayl by a friend; and unravel a treachery more powerful than the gods themselves.

I just read this book series and I absolutely adored it. One of my favourites! It was amazing, I enjoyed it as much as the Harry Potter series.

I couldn't find a post for this and I was wondering if anyone has read it and what they thought about it?

Or if anyone has read the lost hero and is going crazy waiting for the next book, the Son of Neptune, like me?

Who were your favourite characters? I personally love Percy, I am in love with Percy! :)

The god of wine is your favourite, well there's a first.
Yes, I've read the whole series and loved it.
I am currently waiting for my Son of Neptune book to come in sooooo excited to read it. (The second book in the heroes of olympus series.) It looks really good.
Has anyone read it?? THoughts on it??

I've only read the first book so far but I keep meaning to go back and check out the rest of the series. Who doesn't love Greek mythology?

I wasn't totally in love with the first book, but I did enjoy it. I'll probably need to reread it and go from there.

^I HATED the first book. More than that...I despised the movie. So, it's a little hard for me to get back into the series/=

I think you should try them out again. I thought they were a pretty good series. I haven`t read them for a while now though. The movie sucked though I have to say.

I think I read like the first two or three books. I just didn't like them. They're a little below my reading level, and I think that might be part of the problem. That and the fact that I hated all of the characters and the story line lol.

Wow, that is a really harsh view, lol I really like the honesty though. I do understand that they are below most people`s reading level, but I still enjoyed them. Apparently though, I am not going to convince you that they are worth reading though. Oh well, everyone has to have an opinion. I can kinda see where you are coming from as well.

So many people love his books that I feel like the odd one out for not liking them. But I really do hate them lol. If I become desperate for reading material, then I might pick up the fourth book (I think that's the one I'm on).

Also...the movie SUCKED. I mean it realllllllllllllll did lol.

Yes, the movie REALLY sucked. It ruined the book for so many people (that aren`t like you) who may have liked the series and now will never read it.

Don`t read them if you don`t like them though. They aren`t that amazing. I probably wouldn`t recommend them because they aren`t everybody`s cup of tea.

Have you read his other series? I can't remember the name right at this moment. I think it was like a spin off of PJ?

I enjoyed this series. It really is tragic that the movie deviated so much from the book, pretty much ruining the chance for any other movies in the series to be made.

I LOVE this series. It motivated me to read again, and eventually write.

I can't wait for the new book in the new series.

The Kane Chronicles (By the same author) is pretty good to. Does not match Percy though.

I really liked the books, still no harry potter though :-) Wish they would've done a better job with the movie, maybe if they ever get around to making the second one it'll be better
