NEED HELP NAMING (and maybe editing) MY BOOK!!!

Hi guys! I'm a 24 year old English teacher, I'm new to this forum but I've been writing for a while! I started this book in November 2009 but took a one year obsessive fanfiction writing break, LOL. Now I am 8 chapters from being completely finished with the first draft of my first full length novel and I haven't been able to think of a name that really stands out.

I originally planned on calling it the Guardian Series, with the first book in the series being called The Guardians, the 2nd The Immotals, the 3rd called The Keepers and the 4th The Spirits but I'm really starting to think I need something that will be able to stand out with agents and publishers.

ALSO if there is anyone out there who has a background in writing or editing that would like to critique for me that would be so amazing!!! I feel like my book has some really solid points and aspects, and as an English teacher when it comes to the actual writing of my book it is grammatically and structurally sound but it does need help.

I want my heroine to really pop and in the end I don't want my story to be centered around the paranormal aspect. I don't want people to say it's a book about grim reapers, so many people can write books about quirky brunette and a dark mysterious supernatural guy who falls in love with her. I want readers to come away with something that has real heart.

I want my series to be about a girl who, yes falls in love with a hot guy:love:, but also with herself. It's about being a fish out of water, about dealing with loss and the transition from being a teenage girl to a young woman.

I have a very diverse cast of characters which is really important to be because growing up as a minority in the big city of Chicago I read so many books but I rarely saw characters that represented what I surrounded me. Just like in the real world there are homosexuals, mixed-raced couples, poverty, bullying, insecurity and sex.

So... yeah if you know anything about writing and you are interested in writing or exchanging please contact me somehow!

I see what you mean about wanting to stand out.
With books called The Immortals, there are too many books named that, some by very famous artists.
If you would like, I would love to look over your work and help you out, as I am pursuing a career in both writing and editing
