I just finished reading this book.
I loved it. Although I feel Suzanne rushed the ending and I was a bit disappointed. I would have like more about how Katniss and Peeta re established
their relationship and more about what happened to Gale.
Anyway I still love it

I thought the Capitol Hunger Games did happen? It's been a few months since I read it, but I thought it got voted in by them. And didn't Katniss
mention something in the epilogue that when her kids go to school, they'll learn what role her and Peeta had in the Hunger Games?

I was disappointed by Mockingjay; I definitely felt like the ending was too rushed. I never got the impression that things were fully resolved between
Katniss and Gale, and that she went with Peeta "eventually" since there wasn't any other competition.

I totally agree!!
The ending was way to rushed and I was really disappointed that Katniss and Gale didn't resolve the whole Prims death thing.

Yes! And I hate that Prim died--kind of seemed like everything Katniss had done to protect her from the Government was meaningless and it failed.

I also hated that Finnick was killed especially just after he had just married Annie and they were so happy.
It was so sad I loved Finnick.

Yeah after they explained his background and you realized he wasn't just some egotistical jock, he was actually a good character.

I don't know if anyone has mentioned this, there's 18 pages & I'm not reading them all, but did anyone else hate the fact that Katniss voted for
the Capitol Hunger Games. Doesn't it just defeat the whole point of them rebelling against the Capitol if they're going to go and do the same thing by
making innocent children fight to death. Fair enough if they made the actual people who had the power go into the Hunger Games but not their children,
they were innocent & had no control or idea.

Yeah, I was very surprised that she voted for it. I was pretty shocked Collins even included it in the book. If the rebels held a capitol hunger games
they would be showing that they're no different from the capitol. I thought it was a very twisted punishment. It just went against everything the
rebels were supposed to stand for. :/

I didn't hate this book but I didn't like it either.
Where did the real Katniss go? The one I loved in The Hunger Games.
She was passive and really didn't do anything the whole book except sleep in the hospital. I was extremely disappointed.
Gale and Katniss growing apart? Where did that come from? Collins took the easy way out really.
I hated the epilogue. It felt like the endings of those cartoons I watched as a kid.
This book had a lot of potential but it fell flat.

Gale and Katniss growing apart, I was really disappointed by this. They were supposed to be best friends and Gale cared for Katniss greatly.
I didn't like the epilogue either.
But I still enjoyed the book

I didn't enjoy it at all it got very boring and the only reason I finished it was because I was thinking "This is freakin Mockingjay!! It must get
better soon!"
But it didn't
As I told my friend all the characters were out of character.
Spolier Alert:
******
I didn't like the way Finnik died. If felt Collins should've highlighted his death and made it more importnant and meaningful than the way it was
written kind of like an afterthought
Also, Gale getting a fancy job? who the hell is that? That's not Gale!
And Katniss didn't choose Peeta, it was kind of chosen for her. Gale wasn't there and Peeta was the only one available.
Finally, I felt that Katniss spent more time in the hospital than out of it.
*******
End of Spoiler
I hope this is all a huge trick and the real Mockingjay will come out soon...

i've just finished mockingjay! finally!
but i've got some questions i want to ask you guys.
in the end of last chapter(not epilogue),
when katniss has nightmares again and peeta comforts her,
she says she feels that hunger again like the one she had on the beach. And know it's going to happen anyway.
What's the hunger?
i think on the beach should be associated with the arena in catching fire, right?
do you guys think they had SEX at that part?
i really don't know.
but with the ' so after ', is this for after her thoughts or after they had sex?

i totally disagree when people say mockingjay is not that good.
first, i don't think everyone's death in this book should be highlighted.
you can just feel the intensity radiating off the page without because they caught you off guard.
and i think this highlighted the cruelty of the war by not highlighting the death of them, because it makes you realize life could be gone just that.
it's that easy.
the only thing i hate about this book it's the epilogue. it's totally unnecssary and dragging
i never cry so many times for one book. i thought i was going crazy 2

i think the reason they've grown apart shows right through the series.
it's not only because of the hunger games. although gale has been supportive, he's one with a revengous mind as well.
he couldn't accept it when he had contributed much but didn't get much for return sometimes. like he got angry when he said i love you to katniss but
she only said i know.
He didn't shoot katniss either when she asked for it after she had shot coin. it's not because he didn't want her to die, it's because she didn't
shoot him when he was caught by the peacekeepers.
and they grew apart it's also because katniss and gale both know how stubborn katniss is. gale knew he had broken his promise and he could never made
up for that. katniss knew no matter how hard she think or try, she won't be able to forgive him. that's why gale took the fancy job and they grow
apart.
just feel the book, would you?

and for the last time. Come on you guys!
katniss didn't choose peeta because she has no choice.
katniss and gale are just too much are like. someone has to be the sub sometimes.
and didn't katniss explained perfectly that she doesn't need more fire in her life. she needs what she doesn't have. that's the calm, peace, hope
brought by peeta only. because gale is one for revenge all the time.
and i thought everyone know katniss is a really weak and fragile person in mental field actually. i think if she doesn't have the struggle in this
book, that will be wrong. because that's who she is, and that's what make her more real.
but i do agree that the last chapter should be more developed in the end. like how did katniss allow peeta back in her bed or how did peeta start to
comfort her again.
i hope collins not just tell us does katniss love peeta or not, but also has peeta returned to his old self and love katniss like he did yet

^^^ I completely agree. I think that she ended the book the way it should have been. Don't get me worng, I loved Gale and Katniss' relationship, they
just were too alike. I don't think that they should have drifted off like that though; they were friends way to long that they should have at least
stayed friends. This book ended the trilogy well desite the fact that some parts I didn't like.
*Spoiler* I wanted to cry when Prim died, it was so sad. After all they went through.

finally!!! I finally finished it!
and... as expected Im devastated, you all know Im team Gale, there are so many things i didnt like about this book grrrr. I dont know maybe its
because Catching fire felt sooo long ago, I just didnt feel it was as good as the others. I can say that in mockingjay I was team Peeta, how could I
not to? when aparently Gale became someone else... when did exactly this happen? Im actually pretty mad at both Katniss and Gale for letting go their
friendship and become totally strangers by then end. I dont know im just pretty upset maybe after some time I'll think diferently.
