I wouldn't call them the worst. I havne't read Dreamland but I like Lock & Key for reasons you'll come to know once u read other Dessen books. But the trend is, ppl seem to like the first Dessen book they read a LOT and then whatever follows takes 2nd, 3rd place, etc. It's kinda odd but true.

He's funny and clumsy and easy going and adorable... I just love him. Its on my top 10 list of fiction guys that I love...

Huh? Isn't Owen the one in Just Listen? I thought the guy in The Truth About Forever was called Wes - he's the one who makes all the sculptures right? :poke:

Mood: Book Happy

Careful there Jenny. Some of us here started with The Truth About Forever and it's our favorite Dessen book. :ninja:

I've read most of her books but I couldn't bring myself to finish Dreamland. I just did not like it. At all. I've got a couple books of her's that I just remember but some others, like This Lullaby, sadly, just aren't remembered that same. Love'd The Truth About Forever, Just Listen, Along For the Ride, Lock & Key, and... I thought there was another... Guess not. Liked most of the others I read though. They're all great reads, just too much the same formula.

I can't remember that spoon part very well! So sad... I'm rereading This Lullaby just for that part. It sounds AWESOME!!! (You knew I was kidding, right Jenny?)

Umm..Nate's from Lock & Key - I remember that cos the guy needed just much rescuing as the girl (unlike other SD books) ;)

And GASP how could you not like This Lullaby?! I fell in love with that one. That spoon part is adorable
