Owen is my absolute favorite. He's just so different. But at the same time he's completely good and caring and loving. I just adore him. But dexter is a very, very close second. Then wes (weird cuz owen and wes are my two favorite names ever), eli, nate, and last, macon.

I went with Dexter, mostly because that my fav Dessen book so far. Dexter reminds me of my husband so much... not being in a band or anything like that, But personality... I love the whole goofiness... Him and Remy really spoke to me... I mean out of all the characters they seem most real to me... but thats just me...

Dexter! My best friend & I have loved that boy ever since I read "This Lullaby" Only his being fiction keeps us from fighting over him. I think, jenniferbear8504, I've seen you in another forum regarding Dexter where I envied you your husband =P And Dexter seems to be winning too :cheer:

yeah, you saw me post in the Sarah Dessen thread... It just seeing Dexter makes me swoon... I mean he's goofy and kinda awkward and laid back and very a bit of a dork. I just love him! And everything thing about Remy just makes it better... I dont know if I can stress how real they are to me...

Yeah I know! They make a good couple - the whole opposites attract thing. Dexter just made Remy better. And I just love his character, and his springy hair  as well as his springy personality. Technically I probably shouldn't be voting seeing as I haven't read all her books... =S

Yeah, I've read all those except for Lock & Key which I've just borrowed. I would love her books more if they didn't all have the same sort of formula :( I've noticed ppl only love whichever of her books they've read FIRST but the subsequent ones they don't seem to like as much cos they're all the same. For once, I'd like her main character to reform herself without the aid of a boy.

I read Just Listen first and I loved it but This Lullaby just spoke to me more than the others.... but yeah I get what youre saying about the formula... I honestly wasnt a big fan of Lock & Key... I dunno why, but I didnt enjoy it as much as the other books....

Oh really?? That's too bad. Just started reading it. :book: Sounds kinda interesting.

Yeah, This Lullaby, I think I liked it cos Remy ends up believing in love in the end. I think that appeals to readers - but at the same time I've read a lot of review where ppl didn't like it much.

Haha, yea, personally Dexter's the icing no the cake for me. Just makes it that much better. My favorite scene is when Remy buys him cutlery and he's all "Yoooouu LOVE ME!" Haha, and then standing behind the doorway and wiggling the fork  So cute

I love that she's falling in love and fighting it so hard... its real... its what i would have done in the past... its what I did with my husband... I would be mean to him and tell him i didnt love him... that i was only gonna hurt him.... but look how that turned out... :D

I don't see how anyone can NOT like him. His goofiness and his over-sized white shirts  Although, I AM little surprised that Eli hasn't gotte any votes.

O.W.E.N. Easy.

Although Dexter is sweet. But I'm addicted to Owen after he made Annabel pretend he was her mom. (:

No, they're not cheesy at all. Dessen's very good with bringing the realism into her books. Except all of hers tend to have the same formula but definitely worth a try. I would start with This Lullaby. But I'm biased in that it was also my 1st Dessen novel. Everyone will say different things but it's up to you. But definintely try it. It's a great read :)
