I actually enjoyed it. Somehow I knew McMurphy would be a "tragic hero". I'm writing a Critical Analysis of it in College English. My topic is the
individual vs. social control

Yes, I read it sort of twice - the first time for fun and i really just couldn't get into it and didn't/couldn't make it further than page 7.
The second time was for class (so i was forced to) and I'm glad i did - it's a great book that really got me thinking what 'normal' really is. Sad
about McMurphy, and yes you could see it coming but I was really hoping that he didn't have to be 'sacrificed' to teach the others a lesson.

i read the book for class too and at first i didnt like it but as i began to read further i became intruiged

A friend of mine told me that this had been made into a movie. He loved it...
I didn't know that it was a novel too.
