Harry Potter was the series that really got me addicted to reading. I've read that series 4 times, and I love it!

It was probably the Harry Potter series, but I think it was Inkheart (in the German original version) and after that book, HP caught my eye.

^ I don't think that's sad. I'm not a fan of Twilight but I know it IS a great concept and storyline. Any book that starts you reading can't be too bad huh? ;)

I can't remember what started my addiction. i think I was just born that way :shades:

Honestly, I don't know for sure. My parents always read to me when I was little, but I think the Junie B. Jones books got me to reading.

Harry Potter, no question.
I've loved that series since I was 9 years old, haha.
They really are the books that made the new generation start reading.

Actually my reading addiction started when I read Twilight. I'm no Twilight-fan, but I hadn't read much before, and I was like "hmm, the book was okay, maybe reading really can be fun?" so I tried to read more books, and I just loved it =)

as shallow as it sounds, mine was twilight. i think it was bc i had never read a book that wasnt complete romance , but just enough to satisfy . idk what it was , but after that i was thrust into the magical world of reading. <- EW. hahaha now that, my friends , is what you call corny.

I don't really know which one started it. I've always been a reader but I guess it started when I became obsessed with Twilight 3 years ago. After Twilight I didn't read a lot because Dutch books are simply crap and I also thought nothing would be better than Twilight. And then this year I found out about all the other great ya books and I haven't stopped reading ever since. :)

My mom had always read to my sister and me when we were little so it grew from there. But I was having some reading issues (my sister has worse dyslexia than me but I worked through mine earlier so it wasn't ever diagnosed) so I got help in school in second grade and I didn't start really reading until third or fourth grade.

The Warrior and Young Wizard series really got me. All my piers think I'm a book addict and I agree. I manage to hold them in awe. :lol:I hadn't read Harry Potter until... Maybe as late as last year. It all just went from there. I never thought it was unusual. Just was. It's so sad thinking of the people who don't read!!!

I don't really know. I have always read. But I think it was children's book with lots of pictures and some text.
Harry Potter made me write books though.

This is so sad, I cannot remember what books got me addicted to reading. It could have been Harry Potter, but, I am not positive. This is real frustrating. AHhhh, this sucks. :(

There isn't really an answer to that question. I've been obsessed with reading ever since I was born. Before I could even read I'd sit and look at picture books. When I was really young, the first chapter books I ever remember reading was the Magic Treehouse Books. Then the American Girl books. In middle school I really loved those Warrior books by Erin Hunter.
