L.J Smith and Richelle Mead rule!!!<3

I know some ppl might not agree but I think that after a lot of books involving vampires their books have come to stand very high in the supernatural-vampire list.

Night world being one of the first series about vampires, witches and such,is one of my favourites and is kinda surprising that even my mom remembers what an event it was when it was first published...
L.J. Smith is a very respected author not only cuz of her mesmerizing ability to write so amazing books but also beacause back in her time it wasn't a trend to write about vamps...it was sth very unique..

Vampire academy by Richelle Mead is also one of my favourite series cuz even though nowadays many books are based on folklore about vamps, the vampire academy is very authentic in my opinion and it stands out from most of the other books in the same category...

Now I know some ppl might not agree with me but I really think these two authors need to know how thankful many ppl are for all of their books that filled our spare time with laughter and suspense...

Thank you! :)

I haven't read any of L.J. Smith's books but I agree with what you wrote about Vampire Academy.

Richelle Mead is an amazing writer. Can't wait to get start on the Dark Swan series.

Never read Smith, and we all know my opinion of Richelle.

She is the top author on my list. YA or Adult, her plots, characters and general writing ability is amazing. Pure amazing.

No idea. Check http://www.richellemead.com for info.

And just a head's up, try and refrain from double posting, so if you are the last post in the thread, just edit your post rather than posting a new reply.

I love these two writers.
The writing industry wouldn't be the same without them.

And Melissa Marr...

I'm so glad to hear this about Richelle Mead. I love L. J. Smith, but I haven't read any of Mead's books yet.

How are the Vampire Academy books set up? Does each book end the story, or do you have to read the whole series in one shot because the story continues?

You have to read the whole series or it's going to be confusing, it's kind of like with VD. When some of them end, you want to know what's going to happened next. For me, (I know some people agree with me) the first book was ok but then it got better in the second and third.
