Niiceee. You have a lot of good books.
I'll try to find my camera so I can take a picture of mine, but I doubt I'll find it. |
This is off topic, I know, but I will get around to posting my bookshelf soon (because it took me forever to perfectly balance all my books and I just
have to show it off!!) but strigoi, is that picture of Jack Davenport him in Mary Bryant? I just saw a video clip of him in his different roles and
that picture popped up, but I couldn't find which role it was!!
|
Late reply sorry, but yeah it was Jack Davenport in Mary Bryant (he's not in my sig anymore though). Great movie though.
And yeah, Baby Sitters Club. Amazing.

Surprisingly , im not a fan of buying books. The few that I have purchased are read on the same day i bought them.
Instead, i get them from libraries. I still read the same stories, only minus the $10-20

I have four book cases, three of which are "a bit of a mess". Here's a picture of the 1st bookshelf though. There's a gap in the second shelf because
I need to decide what I can put in there. XD

Catherine, your bookshelf is so pretty! I'm kind of jealous. All my books are in a pile on the floor. I seriously need a bookshelf.

mine:

left side, from up to down:
-Harry Potter and The Prisoner of Azkaban (not in the picture: Deathly Hhallows, Chamber of Secrets, Order of the Phoenix)

Weltgeschichte fur junge Leser by Ernst Gombrich)
-Redhead Aia and Family: this book is actullay Hebrew-only. I transelated the name from: "Aia Hjeenjit vecol Hmishpaha" by Pucho.
-Treasure Island by Robert Louis Stevenson.
-Inkspell- Cornelia Funke
-Percy Jackson and the Sea of Monsters by Rick Riordan (also own: The Battle of the Labyrinth)
-The Empty Place by Yehodit Rendal (only Hebrew book. got it as a prize. very depressing for a prize book.)
right side, up to down:
-Sherlock Holmes, full collection by Arthur Conan Doyl (I love Holmes!).
-Audrey, Wait!-Robin Benway. One of my favorit YA books.
-Inkheart: Cornelia Funke
-The Tales of Beedle the Bard- J.K roling.
-Parker Pyne by Agata Christie
-The NEW World of Mr Tompkins by George Gamoe & Russell Stannard
-Inddeath: Cornelia Funke.
-Sacred Games by Vikram Chandra.
Also own:
-Howl's Moving Castle by Diana Wynne Jones

I wish I had a real bookshelf (I have a big one but that's for my dvds, cds, and my dad's textbooks, etc in the basement), I put my books on the
headboard (it's kind of like a small bookshelf) of my bed, I might take a picture of it soon and post it. After I buy a few more books that I'm
planning on buying soon.

Hey Ivy, if you don't mind my asking, what is Scars about?

I haven't read it but here's the synopsis:
Kendra, fifteen, hasn't felt safe since she began to recall devastating memories of childhood sexual abuse, especially because she still can't
remember the most important detail-- her abuser's identity. Frightened, Kendra believes someone is always watching and following her, leaving menacing
messages only she understands. If she lets her guard down even for a minute, it could cost Kendra her life. To relieve the pressure, Kendra cuts;
aside from her brilliantly expressive artwork, it's her only way of coping. Since her own mother is too self-absorbed to hear her cries for help,
Kendra finds support in others instead: from her therapist and her art teacher, from Sandy, the close family friend who encourages her artwork, and
from Meghan, the classmate who's becoming a friend and maybe more. But the truth about Kendra's abuse is just waiting to explode, with startling
unforeseen consequences. Scars is the unforgettable story of one girl's frightening path to the truth.

This is a wonderful idea! I wish I could get a picture of all of my books. I have a border along my ceiling of books. And stacks on the floor, on my
hope chest, filling in the inside of a Hutch bottom, and stacked on top of that as well.

My room is so full I can't even put a bookshelf in it. Now my books are just in piles on top of my desk, which is not worth showing here, lol.
