I have no choice.
Everything, practically, is released in softcover in Australia.
Except for Harry Potter. That is the only hardcover books I have on my shelf.
=(
Makes me sad.
@Jen: Yea makes sense. Paperback is cheaper too. I've debated getting the papaerback set just so I have a full one all the same...

That just sucks.
I'd think hardcover would be the main publishing format, considering it's just so, I don't know, important?Lasting?Cool? Can be used as a weapon?

Yea, for some reason they just don't do hardcover that often.
It's all paperback. Hardcover lasts for so much longer as well while still looking new.

Hardcovers can be much loved and read too, I have a Harry Potter Goblet of Fire book that's all wobbly and simply refuses to stand up straight.

Did you see the ones that come in the chest?
I'd love those, I'd probably put them on display and never touch them.

I have all of the HP books in American hardcover , but I do have 2 copies of HP&OP. My dad ruined my hardcover one. I chose the hardcover kids. I prefer hardcover to soft and the kids remind me most of
the American version I'm used to. The adult ones are beautiful, but I do love the American covers, so kids it is.

Its kind of funny how you-know-who died in just one or 2 sentences, but i see perfect sense in it. i love the ending it
was right. im sad alot of people died but it is also understandable. i found it a bit lame that harry named he's children the way he did, but i still
liked it - albus severus hehe =] and i always knew snape was good!!! i never lost faith in him, i dont know why but i did (ive only read deathly
hallows and seen the movies for the others) and neville is awesome ahha!!! and i LOVEEEEEE ron and hermoine! and when they kissed that was sooo cute i
cant wait to see that ahha

i like the kid's ones best. i like the US ones better than UK, also. tho i do have the UK version of the first book, just because they changed
philosopher to sorcerer.
i liked the first few books better than 5-7. the last three covers were all the same color, and i like them less.
