I haven't seen the trailer for it yet :(
I thought they couldv'e gotten a better actress then Vanessa though... Just my opinion. But then again, she might do this movie really well :)

Oh man! Poor Alex Pettyfer. First I Am Number Four got awful reviews (and rightfully so because that movie was just bad sorry) and now Beastly? Dang, it's a shame because I actually like Alex Pettyfer. I hope he gets cast in the Mortal Instruments movie at least. That will probably do a lot better than Beastly and IAN4.

Yea, both have received bad reviews. I'm ust wondering if Pettyfer will turn down the TMI just because it's another YA novel and the other two were such a failure. Hope not though, he seems to fit the description of Jace.

I like him more in Beastly that in Iam Number Four. I think big budget movies are just not his thing heh (My heart also broke when he was not cast as Jace :( )

^yeah, but he wasn't cast as Jace because he was being a [Censored] about it and demanding more money for the role.

The movie didn't go beyond my expectation, the movie is really short and most of the cute details where not included in the film.

^ You're so right. Books always tend to surpass movies - we have to keep in mind they can't fit a whole novel into a script with only a fraction of the original number of pages. I guess what counts is capturing the right atmosphere of the book. Which not many directors have the talent to do, sadly :(

I really like the Beastly movie, as you said it depends on how the director captures the essence of the book, and I really believed this time they did a great job :)

I loved the Beastly movie. It adapted the book to an extent, but that is to be expected, and from my opinion, it actually makes it better. When you know the ending and everything else, a little variation keeps it exciting. :)
