Perfect Chemistry -- Simone Elkeles

When Brittany Ellis walks into chemistry class on the first day of senior year, she has no clue that her carefully created “perfect” life is about
to unravel before her eyes. She’s forced to be lab partners with Alex Fuentes, a gang member from the other side of town, and he is about to threaten
everything she's worked so hard for—her flawless reputation, her relationship with her boyfriend, and the secret that her home life is anything but
perfect. Alex is a bad boy and he knows it. So when he makes a bet with his friends to lure Brittany into his life, he thinks nothing of it. But soon
Alex realizes Brittany is a real person with real problems, and suddenly the bet he made in arrogance turns into something much more. In a passionate
story about looking beneath the surface, Simone Elkeles breaks through the stereotypes and barriers that threaten to keep Brittany and Alex
apart.
I just finished this book today, and it's pretty awesome! i LOVED them as a couple, and i really liked Alex. He seems like the kind of guy i would
date, even if he is a gangsta. The ending was great! I was sooo happy! :D :D :D

I felt it was EXTREMELY accurate. Like, I don't know any gang members personally, but I thought it was accurate. Like the way that we are really
protective of our families and stuff like that. I LOVED the Spanish she put on the novel, it was really funny

:D It was really great. I couldn't put it down cos I just NEEDED to know what was going to happen next. I just couldn't believe what happened towards
the end, when Alex was leaving the LB. I really thought they were going to kill him. I thought they did or he went back to México, but when he was
there with Shelley when Brittany visited, I was like YES!!!!!

Totally! I loved the way it was in first person, but in both POV's. That way we could feel what both of them were feeling. It was great.

yeah and it totally worked. Transitioning from being inside Brittany's head to Alex's head was actually far easier than I thought.

Yea. It was really cool. I didn't think anything like that could work. I got my mom to read this. Along with The Summer Garden and Glass Houses.

She totally loves The Bronze Horseman series. And she also really likes Glass Houses. She pretty much reads what's in my mini library.

Haha. Yea. She is a huge reader. She influenced me a lot to read when I was younger, and now that there isn't so many problems in her life, my mom is
reading a lot again. Now I just have to master reading in Spanish so we can talk about books that are in Spanish! ROFL!

This was a book that really stuck with me. I haven't been able to find any other books by Simone, but I'm looking. I really, really hope that she
decides to write a sequel for this one.
