City of Fallen Angels Cover!

The cover of City of Fallen Angels has been revealed!

As the fourth book in Cassandra Clare’s best selling Mortal Instruments series, its release as well as the cover reveal have been highly anticipated. And yep, that’s Clary and Simon on the cover.

Here’s what the author herself had to say -

“I’ve always loved the covers Cliff Neilson has done for the MI series. Each one is fun and different in its own right. For the “second cycle” of The Mortal Instruments we wanted to do something that would link the cover aesthetically to the earlier covers while having a different quality that announced that this was a new chapter in these characters’ lives. We decided that each of the Second Cycle covers is going to have two characters on it — in this case Clary and Simon.”

The reveal also included an excerpt from COFA, which you can read here or here.

City of Fallen Angels is set for release April 2011

  • oh i cant wait i cant wait! clary and simon look a little different to what i expected but i guess its different for everybody. although i love the swirls and light that comes off them! sooooo pretty and EXCITING!

  • I can’t wait for this book!!!! and dangling the cover infront of us is just to much! i want to read it now!!!!!!

  • I am not extremely happy with the fact that Simon is going to dominate this book instead of Jace. I do understand that each character needs each own full coverage for readers to know better. Still, Jace and his relationship with Clary are the main ideas why I keep reading these series. I do expect for Jace to have significant role in this book. I also will hate any ideas of Clary to be separated from him.

  • JACE!!!!!!
