Book of the Month: Top Five Reasons Why Gabby and Nolan are Perfect in The Lovely and the Lost by Page Morgan

Book of the MonthHey, everyone! Welcome back!

When I sent Page Morgan a list of guest post topics never in my wildest dreams did I think she would choose this one. And I AM SO EXCITED that she did! Gabby and Nolan are one of my FAVORITE YA couples ever…and they’re not even the main characters in this series! I’m so excited for you all to read this!

Meet Page:

Page Morgan

I’m the author of the YA Gothic thriller THE BEAUTIFUL & THE CURSED, along with its forthcoming sequel THE LOVELY & THE LOST. I’ve been intrigued by les grotesques ever since I came across an old, black-and-white photograph of a Notre Dame gargoyle keeping watch over the city of Paris. I wanted to tell that gargoyle’s story. Soon, the idea for The Beautiful & the Cursed was born.

I live in New England with my husband and our three daughters, an English Pointer puppy, an arrogant cat, two cuddly bearded dragons, fifteen chickens, and during the summer and fall, our neighbor’s two sweet horses.

Why Gabby and Nolan are Perfect

5.) Gabby wants more from life than what society expects of her, and Nolan doesn’t stand in her way. He’s protective of her and critical of some of her decisions, but he never tells her she can’t do something simply because she’s a lady.

4.) Their chemistry is immediate, but they don’t fall head-over-heels in love right away. At first, they’re too infuriated with one another to admit they like one another. But as the saying goes, there’s a thin line between love and hate!

3.) Their romance is deeper than mutual attraction. They have common goals and ambitions when it comes to the Alliance, and they have to work together to achieve them.

2.) Nolan thinks Gabby is beautiful, and by the end of The Beautiful and the Cursed, when Gabby’s face suffers a serious injury, Nolan proves he loves her inner beauty as much as her outer beauty.

1.) They each make mistakes but instead of giving up and staying angry, they each learn to ditch their pride and ask for forgiveness–something a lot of people can’t do, even at the cost of a relationship.

the lovely and the lostIngrid and Gabby survived the Underneath. They saved their brother, Grayson, from a future of dark servitude and exposed a plot to undermine the Alliance. But danger still lurks in the streets of Paris, and the Dispossessed, perched on the city’s bridges and rooftops, might not be able to save their human wards this time.
