Can you tell us about your book, Revelation, in 35 words or less?
Revelation is the first novel in The Revelation Series, a new adult paranormal romance. The book follows college freshmen, Eve Collins, on her journey of self-discovery, sacrifice and forbidden love.
Would you classify Revelation as more of a YA or NA book?
Revelation, and the entire series, is new adult. In both the publishing genre, because my protagonist is eighteen, and a reader demographic recommendation due to sexual situations, language, violence and mature themes.
WHAT IS UP WITH ASHER? Seriously, does he get hotter?
LOL — Asher is complicated. I do think he gets hotter though as the series progresses. Just ask those who know about ‘the piercing heard around the world’.
I waited until all of the books were available. So, I’m obviously way behind the times. What do I, and readers just starting out to the Revelation series, have to look forward to?
Nothing, and no one, is ever what it, or they seem. Just when you think you have it figured out, you don’t. As the story progresses your journey will really be a roller coaster ride, filled with twists and turns, deceit, epic love and sacrifice.
What will Asher be getting for Eve this Christmas?
Asher loves to read. I’m thinking probably a first edition of Ian Fleming’s To Live and Let Die.
What did (any of the characters) dress up as for Halloween?
This feels like a trick question – lol. I want to say gargoyles, but then I also want to say angels and demons. Callan might have dressed up as a pickle.
Did you have more fun writing about the good guy (Asher) or the bad guy (Gage?) I’m new to Gage! So, I could be wrong!
Asher and Gage each have their own appeal and secrets. I loved writing Asher because he is really two ends of a spectrum. Asher is black and white. He’s hot or cold. Angry or fun. With Asher, it’s always two emotional extremes. Gage on the other hand, he’s layered. Gage is shades of grey and has a lot of depth. I enjoyed writing each character for entirely different reasons. As the novels go on, I think readers gain a better understanding of each protector and why they are the way they are.
Is the Revelation series really over? Like………REALLY over?
I am receiving a lot of requests to continue it, but for now, it’s really over.
I know you’re working on something else. Want to tell us about it?
I would love to. Currently, I’m working on two new series. The first is The Royal Proctor Academy Trilogy (RPA). It’s a spin-off of The Revelation Series, but with completely new characters and stories. It will have a much different feel. Readers will be able to pick up RPA and fall into the story very easily without having previously read The Rev Series.
I’m also writing my Dark Soul series, which I am extremely excited about. It’s much darker and based loosely off of Dante’s Inferno. Both series will be releasing Spring/Summer of 2016 and both are new adult paranormal romance.
What has been your favorite book of 2015?
*cringes* This is a hard one. I hate picking a favorite. One that always stands out in my mind is Leylah Attar’s The Paper Swan. It’s right up there as one of my favorites of 2015.
