Bloodlines #3 Name and Paragraph Reveal
Fans of Richelle Mead have been devouring The Golden Lily (Bloodlines #2), which released on June 12th. You can find my review of The Golden Lily here. Even more exciting is that Richelle Mead released the name of the third Bloodlines novel as well as the first paragraph.
So, what is the name of the third Bloodlines novel? The Indigo Spell.
The Indigo Spell is set to hit bookshelves on February 12, 2013. Below you can find the first paragraph from The Indigo Spell.
“This wasn’t the first time I’d been pulled out of bed for a crucial mission. It was, however, the first time I’d been subjected to such a personal line of questioning.”
“Are you a virgin?”
What do you guys think about the title, Indigo Spell? Personally, I don’t like it. It just doesn’t seem to work for me.
And what about the first paragraph? What is THAT about? Now I am dyiiiiiinnnggg to read the next book! Who do you think Sydney is talking to? Why would they be asking her if she’s a virgin?
Let us know what you think in the comments section below!
That’s all for now, folks. See you next time!

I can’t wait until this book comes out!
I haven’t read the second book yet, but I know it’ll be awesome!
I haven’t read The Golden Lily yet but I can’t wait to. Apparently the reason for the name of The Indigo Spell will be clear after reading book 2. I don’t really have an opinion on it one way or the other yet.
The reson the third book is called the indigo spell is that a person that betrayed the Alchemists has a tatoo with indigo colour on it covering up the golden Alchemists tatoo… but why? I think the third book is supposed to explain that.
I loved The Golden Lily although the plot was a bit of a let-down. I don’t like The Indigo Spell as a title, but it’s just me. She can’t be talking to Adrian? can she? maybe the question has something to do with Sydney’s ‘blood’ secret? Feb 2013… it’s a lifetime away
Her history teacher is asking her that…
I’ve read the first chapter, can’t wait for the rest!
The Indigo Spell is definitely not as good as The Golden Lily, but it’s not terrible. Just sounds a little out of place, I think. Could it be something to do with that finding spell Sydney cast?
That paragraph is awesome, but too cruel – it’s definitely way too long to wait! The ‘virgin’ thing must be something weird to do with Alchemist business, it’s definitely not Adrian. Maybe she has to go investigate a weird cult that only accepts virgins or something equally strange. But I’m just theorising, it’s impossible not to with this series. Frustration!
Maybe. I still think it has to do with her blood. I know I should have waited for all the books to be out so that I could read all of them in … a day! Do you know how many books Richelle intends to have in this series?
She’s planning six, just like the Vampire Academy series. On the one hand it’s frustrating, since like you I kinda wish I had hoarded them all so I could skip the waiting, but this series is so good I’m just excited instead of annoyed that it will continue for a good few more years.
There’s still so much to find out about! I hope the title of this book means we’ll find out a lot more about Sydney & her magic, since that’s the most original thing about this series.
… that and Adrian! I’ve always been his fan….
Yes, I believe she’s planning six.
and Adrian…yummm. I love him!
